The concept of #homecookedheroes came to mind during our ongoing period of ‘lockdown’ here on the island.
One thing we all enjoy is food. We love restaurants, cooking, looking at images of food or simply just talking about it.

Lockside Camden – Tex Mex Heaven
We love Camden, it’s always been one of our favourite spots to hang out.

It’s both trendy and whimsical at the same time, offering something for everyone.
It has changed drastically over the last two decades.
Call it gentrification if you wish, because that’s what it is.
Some may hate it due to the ever-rising costs of living in the area.
Others welcome the change, as it provides people with more choices when searching for things to do and places to go.

Although Camden has never really been a place with little to do, that’s for sure.
It’s long been known as a melting-pot of cultures and flavours, along with vibrant events of all kinds happening every night of the week.
Pop-up food stalls and additional restaurants have now become ‘the norm’ here, serving a huge variety of delicious offerings from around the world.
One of those offerings is Lockside, a well established restaurant and bar along the waters edge.

Located on the upper walkway inside the lock, it been open since 2005 and had a refurbishment in January of this year.
It’s comfortably spacious and provides customers with a large outside terrace, which is perfect for the warmer months.

Upon arrival we were greeted by director of operations and founder of the ‘Evil Twin‘ brand, Daniel Conchie.
Daniel was excited to indulge us in not only the new menu, but also his vision for Lockside going forward.
He’s charismatic, intelligent and full of beans for this re-brand.
A wooden serving board packed with a fabulous array of foods arrived mid-chat, and we were excited to see what was prepared especially for us.
A selection of mouthwatering dishes were presented, which included pork-belly tacos, siracha wings, jalapeño poppers and nachos smothered in cheese.

We have to say, all of the food was absolutely fantastic.
We’re not just saying that because the chefs kept popping out and smiling, checking to see if we were happy either.
The quality of food and service provided was well worth the visit.
The vibe here is relaxed yet buzzing, and the food (plus wide selection of drinks) are three very good reasons to visit Lockside in Camden soon.

You can find Lockside at:

After much anticipation popular Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant (soon to be franchise) Pivaz have finally opened their third venue.
This time in the famous town of Brentwood, Essex.
As the PR and Marketing agency behind them, we arranged for the mayor of Brentwood (councillor Will Russell) to officially open the gorgeous new spot last Friday, with a traditional ‘cutting the the ribbon’.

The family-owned business have seriously upped their game in terms of decor and size, with Pivaz Brentwood being their biggest venture yet.
If you think their Epping restaurant is amazing, then you have to check this one out.
The incredible eatery boasts two spacious floors filled with glamorously plush furniture and lighting, excellent cocktails and mouthwatering, authentic cuisine straight from the motherland.
A number of the chefs have been flown over from Turkey to start a new and exciting career in the UK, at one of the tastiest restaurants around.

Pivaz has been open less than a week and its doors have already welcomed a few homegrown-favourites from the cast of The Only Way is Essex!
Gemma Collins attended the opening night with friends, along with Ex On The Beach star Jordan Wright who enjoyed an evening of drinks, food and live music from Flamenco guitarist Leo Alma.

Essex boy and Model Zak Smith also dined at the affluent eatery on Friday night, as well as a number of popular influencers and bloggers!
Since the opening, the lovely Gemma Collins has returned.
This time with Megan McKenna, Pete Wicks & Amber Turner from The Only Way is Essex in tow, to enjoy everything that the tasty new venue has to offer.

It seems that Pivaz Brentwood has already made it onto the map with the locals.
The amount of time (and money) spent on somewhere that was originally meant to open in December, seems to be making up for the long delay.
Pivaz is great for romantic nights out, dining with friends & family and is the perfect spot for hosting spectacular parties!
